Hatteland monitor JH23T12 FUD-AA1-AOAA Reason for failing

Hatteland monitor was one of the type approved marine grade monitor in the market. Why do hatteland monitor fail to work after few years of continuous operation on ship?  One of the main reason was the HRX cable connect between the LCD screen and the control board, insulation breakdown causing shorting internally.
